Pavilion depth is the depth of the pavilion, from the girdle to the culet. It is a percentage of the average diameter.
In more detail
For a pointed culet it follows from the pavilion angle alone: half the diameter × the tangent of the angle. At 40.8° it is about 43%.
On a grading report
On the proportion diagram as a percentage. IGI's Ideal band is 42 to 44%.
