A rough girdle has an irregular or granular girdle surface.
In more detail
Do not confuse it with a bruted girdle, which is left with the surface from rounding. A diamond's girdle can look waxy to granular; in GIA's 1997 study, moissanite girdles were frosted, polished or striated.
