The Hearts & Arrows Scope is a free Digital Gemology tool that simulates a hearts and arrows viewer. It shows a round brilliant's arrows face-up and hearts face-down, with one symmetry figure per view.
In more detail
You can change the pavilion angle, crown angle and table size. You can also twist the crown, tip or turn the pavilion mains, or move the culet off center. Proportion changes alter the pattern's shape; symmetry faults break its match.
How we measure it
The scope traces each cut's own 3D model with parallel rays straight down the axis, for up to 24 bounces. It has no Fresnel loss, dispersion or double refraction. The same viewer draws the hearts and arrows images on the gemstone pages.
