# Upper half facet

Also called upper halves, upper girdle facets, upper girdle halves

Upper half facets are the 16 small triangles along the crown edge of a round brilliant. There are two between each pair of bezels.

## In more detail

With the 8 stars and the 8 bezels, they make a 32-facet crown. The Peruzzi cut introduced that crown in the late 1600s.
