# Near colorless (G–J)

Also called G-J

Near colorless is the D-to-Z range from G to J.

## In more detail

A near-colorless diamond looks white face up. A slight tint shows only beside a better grade, most of all in larger stones. Trading down from colorless to near colorless is a common way to pay for size.
