# Lizard skin

Lizard skin is a wavy or bumpy area on the surface of a polished diamond.

## In more detail

It is a blemish, so it lies on the surface only. GIA's polish grade covers surface condition, so lizard skin can count there.

## On a grading report

A blemish; it can count in the polish grade.
