# Culet size

Also called culet grade, culet: none

Culet size is the word that a report uses for the size of the culet. The eight words are None, Very Small, Small, Medium, Slightly Large, Large, Very Large and Extremely Large.

## In more detail

None means that there is no culet facet: the mains meet in a point. The smallest sizes are judged by eye at 10x. GIA's cut booklet allows Excellent with a culet of Small or less, and Very Good with Medium. In our Cut Grading Tool, which reads GIA's tables, Extremely Large drops a T73 to Poor.
